We are seeking a creative and technically strong Intermediate Interior Designer with hospitality experience to join our team. The ideal candidate has a refined design sensibility, exceptional drawing and documentation skills, and a deep understanding of hospitality FF&E and material sourcing.
This role requires the ability to support projects from concept through construction, ensuring the design vision is carried seamlessly from initial idea to final installation.
Key responsibilities
Support and contribute to the overall design direction for hospitality projects including hotels, resorts, restaurants, and branded environments from Concept through Design Development (DD).
Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, operators, and internal team members to ensure design intent is maintained through Construction Documents (CDs) and installation.
Produce a complete and coordinated drawing set from Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Documents (CD).
Develop detailed interior architectural drawings, millwork details, custom furniture drawings, and finish plans.
Participate in construction administration, including shop drawing review, submittals, finish samples, and on-site coordination.
Lead FF&E specification efforts, including sourcing, vendor coordination, and preparation of detailed specification binders.
Maintain extensive knowledge of domestic and European FF&E vendors and material resources.
Create and manage furniture and FF&E budgets in coordination with procurement teams and clients.
Prepare finish schedules, material boards, and presentation materials for client and brand approvals.
Manage multiple concurrent hospitality projects while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget integrity.
Present design concepts and project updates internally and participate in client and brand meetings.
Requirements
5–7 years of professional interior design or interior architecture experience, with hospitality project exposure preferred.
Strong understanding of hospitality design principles, guest experience, brand standards, and space planning.
Proven ability to develop detailed construction documentation and custom detailing.
Extensive FF&E and material knowledge base (domestic and European manufacturers and vendors).
Experience in construction administration and coordination with consultants and contractors.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects.
Excellent communication, presentation, and team collaboration skills.
