Description
Loci Architecture is an award-winning firm with almost 30 years of experience completing academic, residential, preservation, and community projects. We are seeking a talented and versatile emerging architect to join our team. The candidate will work under the direction of a project manager and technical leadership on several exciting community-based projects in various stages of design, production, and construction, including school and institutional projects. As part of Loci’s mission, emerging architects gain early, hands-on experience in both design and project management, supporting meaningful professional growth within a collaborative studio environment.
The position requires a design-oriented mindset, curiosity, and well-developed Revit and AutoCAD skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a productive, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is organized, responsible, self-motivated, and eager to grow in the profession. They should be comfortable communicating with clients, consultants, and contractors, and able to work across projects of varying scales and budgets within a collaborative small-firm environment. Responsibilities include supporting project managers and the design team to ensure projects are completed on time and according to design intent, assisting with construction document preparation, contributing to a creative design process, and maintaining flexibility across multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements
Following is our preferred profile for candidates:
- Actively pursuing licensure to practice architecture in New York State.
- A minimum of two years of overall experience in New York City architectural offices since earning a professional degree.
- A Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) or Master of Architecture (MArch) degree in the United States or equivalent degree earned in a foreign country.
- Expertise with Revit, CAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to quickly research and interpret the New York City Building Code, Zoning Resolution, Energy Code, and DOB filing requirements and procedures.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
